School for me, became incredibly tedious after the first year or two so instead of sinking my head into the desk I took it upon myself to do something creative and productive throughout the school period - to keep me sane.

I started writing poetry, short stories and drawing during lessons and break times and this lasted all the way through until the end of my school journey.

Looking back today at a few old school books I picked out the poetic verses, short stories and drawings I’m proud of.

One reads as:

‘Mysterious poetry,

Oh, how you bring me shape

Let us take this ladder

We began as Apes’
